Heather Laribee

Graduate Student at the University at Buffalo

Major:Library and Information Science

Hello my name is Heather Laribee. I had a thirteen year career in the early childhood education field. In 2009, I decided to go back to school and pursue my dream of becoming a Librarian. As there really is no ungraduate program for the LIS master degree program, I decided to pursue my second passion which is History for my undergraduate degree. I received my Bachelor degree from Empire State College in History with a concentration in Ethnicty and Ethnic Conflicts.

My goal with getting my Master degree in LIS is to pursue a job in any of the following areas:

This is my first semester at University at Buffalo. I am currently a part-time student therefore my class list is short as of right now. This semester I am taking two classes:

  1. Lis 506-Introduction to Information Technology
  2. Lis 505-Introduction to Library and Information Studies
