If this is an unscheduled IPL be sure to take an MVS Standalone dump before proceeding with the IPL. See section UBRF3/MVS Standalone Dump Procedures for detailed instructions.

1. UBRF3 is a guest virtual machine of UBVM. The UBRF3 virtual machine is autologged by UBVM at IPL time and UBRF3 is automatically IPL’ed. If for some reason UBRF3 is down without UBVM being down, it is not necessary to IPL UBVM, but just autolog UBRF3. At the UBVM operator’s console, type:

 

AUTOLOG UBRF3

 

2. At the UBRF3 MVS console, the following messages are displayed.
