If this is an unscheduled IPL be sure to take an MVS Standalone dump before proceeding with the IPL. See section UBRF2/MVS Standalone Dump Procedures for detailed instructions.

1. UBRF2 is a guest virtual machine of UBVM. The UBRF2 virtual machine is autologged by UBVM at IPL time and UBRF2 is automatically IPL’ed. If for some reason UBRF2 is down without UBVM being down, it is not necessary to IPL UBVM, but just autolog UBRF2. At the UBVM operator’s console, type:

 

AUTOLOG UBRF2

 

2. At the UBRF2 MVS console, the following messages are displayed.

Press the ENTER key.
