Kierra speaks about the waste being dumped in the poor
communities
Garbage and waste that is thrown in poor communities is another act of
environmental injustice. Similar to conflicts at the start of the Industrial
Revolution, improper disposal of waste or chemicals can lead to insanitation.
These chemicals put water systems of these communities at risk of contamination.
(that the garbage will cause rodents such as rats and roaches in people homes
and business in this community. Potentially these result will affect the people
health and wellbeing. These people will be more prone or susceptible to diseases.
Studies have shown correlation between diseases amongst members of impoverished
communities.From a social perspective people will begin to look at poor communities as deviant,
perceiving the community as dirty. They begin to draw speculations on how the people
living in this community act and behave. Every community deserves to be healthy .
Empty lost filled with garbage or abandon buildings when there could be urban
gardening there. We need to be sustainable in all aspects. Recreation is important
for children they cannot play in an unsanitary environment.
