Here Kierra speaks a little about the air being polluted by companies and she says
that they don't really care as long as they get their profit
Companies are highly interested
in profit even at the extent of the lives of the people. This is why companies
exploit citizens in other countries, to produce the products we use.
Here in the United States however, the injustices of companies appear in the
placement of their industries in impoverished communities; this act is
better known as environmental racism. The intent of the CEO is to avoid putting
the pollution in their own yard but typically in minority communities. It
took until 1986 for the government to enforce a law that required companies
to identify the chemicals that a company may have released. Even companies
like Kodak have reported in the pass that 23.6 million pounds of 65 of those
dangerous chemicals have leaked into the ground. Nevertheless, companies
release gasses and pollutants into the ground and air, instead of focusing on
intervention tasks.
