I find the idea that there will someday be a Web 3.0 fascinating. Web 2.0 (where the Web is currently) began with the advent of online user-created content. Platforms such as blogs, YouTube, and wikis allowed normal internet users to add their own content to the world wide web, whereas previously only those who had the required resources and tech savvy could create and share content. As things like virtual reality (Oculus Rift) become a reality, I wonder if we'll actually begin to experience things "in person" with our peers online.
