Ethanol Assay Kit

Product Description: The ability to rapidly perform quantitative measurements of ethanol is highly desirable in life science research, clinical evaluations, and food and drug industries. Our non-radioactive colorimetric ethanol assay, which can be completed in 20-60 min, is based on the reduction of the tetrazolium salt INT in a NADH-coupled enzymatic reaction to formazan, which is water-soluble and exhibits an absorption maximum at 492 nm. The intensity of the red color formed is linearly increased in the presence of increased ethanol concentrations (up to 0.5%). The kit is stable for at least one year under proper storage and handling conditions. The product is for research use only.

Features: The assay is simple, non-radioactive, sensitive, and can be adapted for automation. Each kit is sufficient for 200 microassays.
