Teaching and Training
Fall 1995, and Spring, 1998 taught CEP 502, Essentials of Testing and
Measurement, a
graduate level course with 24 students. Required project of development
and administration of a 20 item questionnaire with total test and item analysis,
interpretation, and write-up.
While faculty at Michigan State University, taught sophomore
fundamentals of nursing, and senior level research and statistics
course requiring a research proposal.

Served as statistical consultant for analysis of data from a 5 year NIH funded project
on health care for homeless people in Buffalo. Called in late in the project to clean
up datafiles and consolidate to one database.
Have served as data processor for, and statistical consultant to, the director
of CARLIS. Developed a database from common questions
asked across surveys of multiple U.S. libraries.
Privately, serve as consultant, mentor, tutor, etc. for doctoral
students during their dissertation work. This may include any
aspect of the process from proposal development, through survey
instrument development, data entry, statistical analysis, and accuracy
of write-up for the dissertation. Also extensively critique writing for
clarity, accuracy, and APA style. Have helped over 150 students in the
process. Have also run support groups for doctoral students going through
the dissertation process.
