Through downloading the Overdrive App on your smartphone or tablet, our library users have access to thousands of E-materials! The best part is not having to worry about a "return" date or accruing late fees since the material is automatically returned for you! Ask our Reference and Information desk for more information.
The Prendergast Library is happy to offer two different storytimes for two different age groups of children! We have an Early Learning Storytime for children ages 3-5, and a First Years Storytime for children ages 0-3. Early Learning storytime is on Tuesday mornings, and First Years storytime is on Wednesday mornings, both of which incorporate stories, rhymes and songs designed for the children and their caregivers. Younger and older siblings welcome!
The library provides a public space with 15 desktop computers setup for library users to access for free. There is the availability to print, scan, and copy as well at a low fee. We also provide free Wi-Fi if you decide to bring your own personal device.
Through a grant the library received in 2014, we were able to provide a space for Teen library users to go and hang out, do homework, and have access to their own computers away from the Computer Lab. We at the Prendergast understand teenagers have different needs than adults, and want to just hang out with friends and chat. The space provides a place just for that, with some great noise-canceling walls and door!
Join us in our Makerspace the second and fourth Friday of each month, where you will learn to make and work with others to create new and exciting things! Past events have included 3D printing and 3D design! Come join us to find out what's next!
