Is the accessible path surfaced with pavement or other hard-surfaced material? (see Figure 1)

Does the playground surface provide a firm, stable, and slip-resistant surface?

    

The edges of paths should be easily discernible through changes in surface texture or use of curbs or berms.

Does the path provide a continuous surface free of abrupt level changes?
