Other Commentary

When the mood strikes, John Bis will spent much time over the keyboard writing about some issue or idea. Sometimes he has a particular audience or publication in mind, other times he just writes for his own enjoyment.

Below are some selections from his efforts. Almost all of these have been written since the move to Western New York in the late 1970's. However some writings reflect upon his early years in Chicago, some upon his military service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He also gained much from the teachings in an SIU Design Program where he met and learned from the likes of Bucky Fuller and B.F. Skinner. His experience included involvement with several criminal justice research projects in and about Washington, D.C. and participation in the development of the new town of Columbia, Md.
